Sage Wellness Group is a national consulting firm committed to using a trauma-informed and responsive lens to assist agencies in improving services provided to children or families. Since our founding in 2013 by Dr. Tara Doaty, we have utilized a strengths-based approach, understanding that our clients are the experts of their agencies and therefore, have a clear understanding and vision of the experiences they want their clients and staff to have, as well as the outcomes they desire to attain. Whether we are working with schools, social service agencies, hospitals, non-profits, or city or state agencies, we tailor our trainings and/or program development services to meet their training and agency needs. Our trainings are grounded in evidenced-based practices, and our expert facilitators bring over 35 years of collective training experience in areas including Restorative Practices, trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, equity, mindfulness, parenting (for biological, foster, and kinship parents), understanding the clinical impacts of addiction, and ethics. In 2015, Sage Wellness was selected as 1 of 9 agencies selected for inclusion in the Breakthrough Series Collaborative, an initiative between The University of Maryland, The Family and Child Traumatic Stress Network, and the Zanvyl and Isabelle Krieger Fund, to make Baltimore City trauma-informed. Sage Wellness Group is recognized on both the federal and Baltimore City level as a certified woman-owned and minority-owned business.
