MY FAVORITE SAGE VALUE:
#3: Approaches grounded in mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and restorative practices assist people in feeling seen, heard, valued, productive…and healed.

"This value resonates with me because healing has always existed across cultures, even if it wasn’t always described using today’s clinical language. Many Indigenous communities and communities of color have long embraced practices rooted in mindfulness, restoration, storytelling, collective care, and connection. These principles mirror many of the evidence-based approaches we use today. As a Sage Wellness Group consultant, I am passionate about honoring those traditions while translating contemporary evidence-based practices through a culturally relevant lens that supports community education, healing, and sustainable well-being."

MY FAVORITE SAGE VALUE:
#5: Self-care is necessary…we will rest, laugh, fellowship, and be models of joy.

"I believe that self-care lies at the very foundation of everything we do. When we protect time and energy for the explicit purpose of tending and nourishing our body, mind, soul and spirit, we set the stage for beautiful collaborations. It allows us to be in service to others from a place that is full and expansive, rather than empty and depleted. Standing on, and coming from, this place within ourselves - this "Ground of Being" -  directly affects the quality of our offerings, the vibrancy of our relating and the potency of the outcomes we co-create with others."
